Colorado House Minority Leader Mike Lynch Issues Statement Commemorating Anniversary of 9/11

(Colorado State Capitol, September 11, 2023) -- House Minority Leader Mike Lynch released the following statement, remembering the lives tragically lost on September 11th, 2001, and honoring the resilience and strength of the American people on this tragic anniversary:

"Today, we pay tribute to the heroes who emerged from the darkness, the families who persevered through unimaginable pain, and the great nation that stood united in the face of unprecedented adversity.

While we honor the memory of those who perished, we must also recognize the courage and resilience displayed by Americans. From the first responders who fearlessly rushed into danger to save lives, to the countless individuals who selflessly donated their time, resources, and support. Out of the shadows of 9/11, we witnessed the bright indomitable spirit of Americans at their finest.

Together, we must continue to honor the memory of those we lost by working tirelessly to protect our homeland and ensure that such a tragedy never befalls our great nation again. And as we commemorate this day, let us reaffirm our commitment to preserving the values that define us as Americans: unity, strength, and resilience."
