Representative Dan Woog has built a strong reputation as a dedicated public servant. He served in the Colorado House of Representatives for House District 63 from 2020 to 2022 and as a Trustee for the Town of Erie from 2013 to 2020. During his first term in the legislature, he was a member of the Energy & Environment Committee and served as the ranking member of the State, Civic, Military, and Veterans Affairs Committee. Prior to these roles, Dan contributed to his community as a Planning & Zoning Commissioner and a board member of the Economic Development Council.
Currently, Dan represents House District 19, which includes Erie, Dacono, Frederick, Firestone, parts of East Longmont, and unincorporated areas of Weld and Boulder counties. He is the ranking member of the Energy & Environment Committee and serves on the Transportation, Housing, & Local Government Committee.
Dan’s public service is deeply rooted in the values instilled in him by his father, an entrepreneur who dedicated his life to improving the health and lives of others. Though he lost his father at a young age, Dan continues to be inspired by his father's example of hard work, care, and innovation.
As a father and small business owner, Dan draws on his personal experiences to understand the unique challenges and opportunities of his district. Raising two young children has only strengthened his commitment to creating a better future for the next generation. During his first term in the legislature, Dan successfully crafted legislation that benefited schools and transportation, and he consistently worked across party lines to lower taxes, protect Coloradans, and support law enforcement.
Known for his integrity, empathy, and approachability, Dan is deeply committed to listening to his constituents and ensuring their voices are reflected in the policies he champions. He believes in the power of citizens to drive positive change through the democratic process and is dedicated to shaping a brighter future for his community and Colorado as a whole."
