House Minority Office Provides Update on Rep. Bockenfeld’s Health
(Colorado State Capitol, October 20, 2023) -- Today, Representative Rod Bockenfeld (R-Arapahoe County) announced he has been recently diagnosed with and has begun treatment for cancer.
“Rod has been a fighter here in the Capitol and I know he will be a fighter as he battles cancer,” said Minority Leader Mike Lynch (R-Wellington). “We are all praying for a quick and full recovery and ask everyone to respect him and his family’s privacy during this trying time,” Lynch added.
Bockenfeld is in his third term as a State Representative, and currently serves as the Ranking Member and only House Republican on the Joint Finance Committee. Prior to being elected to the state house, he had served 12 years as an Arapahoe County Commissioner. He will continue to proudly serve the citizens of House District 56 and be a stalwart defender of their conservative values.
