House Minority Leader Lynch & Rep. Catlin Release Statement on Murder of Cortez Police Officer

(Colorado State Capitol, November 29, 2023) -- Today, House Minority Leader Mike Lynch (R-Wellington) and Rep. Marc Catlin (R-Montrose) issued the following statement on the murder of a Cortez Police Department officer during a traffic stop earlier today.

"I am heartbroken to hear the news out of Cortez of the passing of one of our brave law enforcement officers in the line of duty," said Rep. Lynch. "We owe a debt of gratitude to those who pay the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty," Lynch added.

"Today is a sad day for Cortez," said Rep. Catlin. "Kerri and my thoughts and prayers are with the officer's family during this difficult time," added Catlin.
